There is a definite chill in the air now, especially first thing in the morning before the sun rises over the hills and early evening when it disappears behind them again. I woke up yesterday to a fine mist laying in the valley that shrouded out my surroundings, making them invisible. The sun was pale and watery and lacked any real warmth initially.
All was calm and still. The sun rose higher in the sky chasing the damp curtain away to reveal a bright blue sky the colour of cornflowers. Small pockets tried to resisted the suns rays but to no avail, and by 9 am there was no doubt that it was going to be a beautiful day. The lawn glittered like a crystal carpet and the flowers and shrubs were decorated in equal splendour.
A truly beautiful autumn day. Hope you all had a lovely weekend too. Dev X

Hi Devina,
first I want to say thank you very much for your lovely comment in my blog....I am very happy about it.
The wedding was great....it was really a wonderful celebration and we all were very happy. We will never forget it.
I was a bit ill last week...had terrible pain in my left shoulder, but I went to the doctor and he gave me an injection and Ibuprofen...do you know it...that is a very good medicament against inflammations and pain.
And now I am fit again and admired your lovely pictures....have you got a new camera???
Since yesterday we heat again...summer has definitely gone.
Best wishes,
Iris
Beautiful blog!!
We send our best to Hamish!
What a lovely description of a misty Autumn morning. Mist is so magical isn't it, and your photos suggest a fairy tale landscape in which the story might unfold. Thank you for that glimpse of Autumn in 'The Fairy Glade'. Have a good week.
Misty or even foggy mornings are magical. The frost has destroyed my dahlias already, but yours seem to be doing fine, what a nice blossom.
Hello Devina. Gorgeosu pictures as ever on your blog. You have a great eye for photography. It is cool and misty here in Cornwall to day which suits me as I am working on Christmas stock today xx
Oh Dev, that was beautiful. Do you write professionally? If not, you should.
And the pics... Gorgeous. *deep sigh*
What beautiful photos!! ;-)
Oh no, this was not good news at all :-(
A good old-fashioned autumn cold with a runny nose and the works, yikes. Got to let it run its course, I suppose. Plenty of rest and fluids and you'll be as good as new. But it's not nice, not by a long shot, to be ill.
Take good care of yourself and feel better soon! Hope that your dh or little I. won't catch it.
Hello, Thanks so much for your support, you have all been wonderful. The flowers in your garden are so pretty, what a lovely place to wake upto everyday Mandy X
No worries, dear Dev! Again, feel better soon!
Things are getting a bit clearer at my end and although the news is not good, at least we'll be able to make plans now, look straight ahead and put up a good fight.
Have a good weekend!
Finaly soem sun, isn't it fabulous. And I'm enjoying it all the more for it being the start of autumn. Thanks for a beautiful, atmospheric post. Sums up things wonderfully.

Hi, sweet Dev.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment... regarding how I`m feeling right now... Not very happy as you may have guessed!
But, after reading my friends comments, including yours... of course, as made me realise that if I was to stop blogging, I would have so much to loose!
Includding meeting new friends... like you!
I was reading your past posts and the one on Monday, 23 June 2008... was a real eye openner!
Thanks for that!
Hope to speak to you again, very soon! LOL
