Lest We Forget

Hi, this is just a quick post to show your some Remembrance Day poppies that I have crocheted over the last couple of nights. They have been so popular at work that I thought I would post you the link. They are really easy to make and take no time at all, so you have plenty of time to make yourself one before the 11th, (or even a service at church on sunday perhaps).
I made 12 over 2 nights and then sold them to my collegues at work, asking them to put the money into the offical collection pots.

So girls, crochet hooks at the ready. Find the chart here.

How much nicer than the usual ones though I have already bought mine I might have a go at these in a different colour as a change from my usual crochet flowers - I do like a change.

They are beautiful - a lovely idea! Thanks for sharing, I will grab a hook and get going - any excuse to sit on the sofa with a cuppa and not feel guilty! Hope you're well, hugs Debs xx

Oh my how clever of you... I would love a couple of sequins though, not to detract from the seriousness of the cause but just because...

Thanks for stopping by! I can hardly beleive all the things you are making, you will be busy right up to Christmas eve I think, but what satisfaction knowing you made so much yourself. Good for you! I do love your poppies by the way, they are the prettiest I have seen!

I am going to start making these poppies for this year and ask our village shop owner if she will add them to her collection box... I think these with a proper bar pin on the back will be much better than the paper ones.. people are always loosing the paper ones and you find them littering the road and the village cafe... thank you for sharing... I have popped over from Muddles and Magic and I hope you don't mind me following you but your blog is fantastic...
