Hello everyone and first let me me thank all the lovely ladies out there in blogland who sent in their comments and advice on my ripple problem. In particular I would like to thank this lady who advised me to use a larger size hook for the foundation chain and then the next size down for the rest, fantastic!!! Check out the ripple action on her blog, it's amazing and inspiring and colouful and gorgeous.
So here for your delectation...drum roll please!

Isn't it wonderful, I have to keep getting it out of my new bag to have a look and a hold and a sigh at the magnificence of it!
Here's a close up..............
Peace reigns once more in the Fairyglade, meals are prepared with a smile, chores are done with a smile, in fact I have been wandering around the house all weekend with a silly grin on my face which is, according to man person, getting a tad tedious now. Yes he loves the ripple, yes the colours are beautiful, yes it's the best thing since sliced bread and...can we now change the subject please he says through gritted teeth. Men!!! what are they like eh?
Check out my new crochet bag from the lovely Kim at Brigantia designs. Just perfect for all hooky goodies. would you like to see another picture of the ripple...go on, you know you want to.....
Well I can't spend a moment longer on line because I have another row of ripple calling me before I go to bed. Sweet dreams everyone. Dev X

Beautiful Ripples, I love the colors and wonderful bag.
Well you must have been working on your blog as I was visiting. There I was reading The Easter Fairyglade, then when I went to read older posts it turned into The Ripple Fairyglade! Magic, just like your wonderful Ripple Blanket. I too have started a ripple blanket and am thoroughly enjoying it. I too had problems and had to restart it but I think I was working in bad light which didn't help. I'm surprised at how well it's growing and how much I am enjoying it. I absolutely love the colours you are using.
your ripple is beautiful..Sadly i i have tried a million times and i cant do the ripple..
have a wonderful week..
Congratulations to you for fixing the ripple. I know that the finished product will be so gorgeous. Like the bag too! :-)
I'm so glad you were able to fix your work, there is not as frustrating as having problems with a project.
Oh, I LOVE the colors you are using, by the way.
Have a great week!
:o)
Oh, you did it! And you changed your blog to match! Well done. but now I'm curious as to what you were doing wrong before?
Fantastic!!! I am sooo jealous it looks stunning. That's it, I am abandoning the bag with it's puckered and wrinkly bottom and I will have to give ripple a go.
I do admire your perseverance and can't wait to see all the lovely pics of it growing and growing. Have a lovely week. Debs x

That's gorgeous!!
I'm glad you managed to sort out the problem you've inspired me to give it a go.
How's the weather down there on your side of Kent? It's drizzling and grotty here - unlike the weekend!
Have a lovely evening,

Well done! It looks lovely. I love the ripple more than granny squares (overrated methinks! LOL). The first cushion, I just made a huge rectangle in one piece, and then folded it to the size of the cushion and darned together. For the yellow one I backed with bright yellow fabric.
I am so pleased you've got the ripple habit!! Well done you - it looks amazing to me. I used to be able to crochet simple things, (we're talking 20 years ago), but when I attempted to crochet a couple of months ago I had totally forgotten what to do... so there's no chance of any ripple activity here! Looking forward to seeing more of your lovely blanket. Happy days.
